WHO WE ARE

MEGAN

I have a lifetime appreciation for all growing things that lead me to a career in floristry. I love a naturalistic style of floral design and using a flower's natural shape to define arrangements. I enjoy foraging for unique ingredients to add a wow factor to my designs. My father was a small business owner who instilled in me a commitment to customer service and a strong attention to detail that is so important for a successful event. I have worked with some of the most respected floral designers in the Twin Cities area and cannot wait to help our clients' realize their floral dreams.

ALISSA

I began my floral journey in my small northern Minnesota hometown where I worked for years running the weddings and events department for a beloved local floral company. To further my experience, I then took a leap to make St. Paul my home. I have been working alongside many uniquely talented floral artists from a variety of backgrounds within the Twin Cities area as well as across the United States and abroad. My experiences have inspired me to find ways to push the creative limits of traditional floral design.

THE COLLABORATION

When we met and had the opportunity to work together on expansive floral projects, we recognized a genuine enjoyment of each other’s friendship, design taste, and work ethic. We soon realized that we both have experiences and backgrounds that make us perfect partners in The Tiny Florist. Our deep passion for flowers and design, as well as a desire to offer our clients and the event industry stunning floral creations, motivates us everyday. We cannot wait to work with you!

SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES

At The Tiny Florist we believe our work should help make the world a better place by employing sustainable floristry practices. It’s not just a cute word. Sustainability to us means:

Sourcing locally
grown flowers as much as possible, from our hard-workin’ flower farmers within and around the Twin Cities area. We plan to support other local small businesses as they fit in to our clients’ visions as well.

Creating foam free design. The trusty foam widely known and used by most florists takes a long-term toll on our environment. Our goal is to make our designs, from centerpiece to large installation, using mechanics that can be reused by our team over and over.

Composting organics. What happens to all of your beautiful flowers after your event? The flowers will be taken home by you if you choose, composted, or donated to be further enjoyed by the residents of assisted living or nursing homes.
